FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What exactly is Necory?

A personal AI knowledge vault you use through chat. You tell it things — notes, photos, documents, places, reminders, money people owe you — and it saves them, then answers when you ask for them back. Think of it as a second brain with a conversation as its only interface.

Which languages does it support?

English, Arabic (with full right-to-left layout), and Spanish — for the entire interface and the AI itself. You can switch languages anytime in Settings, and even mix languages mid-conversation; Necory replies in the language of your message.

Is my data private?

Your data is protected on its way to us and while it's stored, only you can see it, and it's never sold. The one honest catch: the assistant has to read your content to answer you, so Necory isn't "end-to-end encrypted" (sealed so that even we couldn't read it). We say this plainly on our Security page and in the Privacy Policy.

Can the AI make mistakes?

AI can get things wrong, so Necory takes the risky parts out of its hands: it adds up your money itself instead of letting the AI guess it, anything it says it saved or deleted really happened, and a wrong guess can never hide something you saved. For anything important, you can always see the real record in the app.

How does the money ledger work?

Say "Jack borrowed 100" or "Sarah paid me back $20" and Necory writes it down for good. Ask "who owes me?" and it adds everything up for you, per person and per currency. Fix a mistake and the old entry stays in the history — nothing is quietly rewritten.

Do reminders work if the app is closed?

Yes. Reminders are set as alarms right on your phone, so they ring on time even when the app is closed, with a backup reminder as a safety net. Allow notifications (and exact alarms on Android) when the app asks — see Support if a reminder didn't fire.

What does Free include, and what does Pro add?

Free: 5 AI messages a day, 100 MB of storage, photo attachments. Pro is not on sale yet — when it opens ($12.99/month or $99.99/year) it adds 80 messages a day, 10 GB, plus documents, audio files, and location sharing with up to 6 attachments per message. You can join the Pro waitlist now; full details on the Pricing page.

What would happen to my data if I ever left Pro?

Nothing is deleted — ever. If you're over the Free storage limit, your vault stays fully readable, searchable, and exportable; only new uploads pause until you're under the limit or on Pro again.

Can I get my data out?

Yes — Settings → Export. You get a downloadable archive with a readable HTML summary, machine-readable JSON, and your media files. Available on every plan. Download links stay valid for 7 days; you can re-request anytime.

How do I delete my account?

In the app: Settings → Delete Account. There's a 30-day recovery window (sign back in to cancel), after which everything is permanently erased. Full walkthrough on the Account deletion page.

Does the AI learn things about me automatically?

Lightly, and in the open. Necory may notice preferences like your tone or active hours. Every observation is listed in Settings → AI Profile, where you can confirm, dismiss, or lock each one. Explicit memories are only saved when you ask.

Does voice dictation happen on my device?

No — your recording is sent securely off your phone and turned into text by Google's AI, then the text appears in the box for you to review and edit before sending. The app tells you this in its microphone permission prompt too.
